Greg Tannen Born in Australia, raised in Toronto and New York, Greg Tannen is the son of an amateur jazz pianist and the grandson of a traveling salesman and a magician. He crossed the US extensively, trying out life in Colorado, Ohio, and North Carolina, before deciding to put down some roots in NYC in 1998.

While living in Colorado, Greg and his brother Steve formed an acoustic duo called the Kahluas (an act now called the Tannen Brothers). They moved to New York shortly afterwards to pursue solo rock and roll projects.

Now a NYC-based singer/songwriter, Greg is a regular at places like the legendary Bitter End. He's also played Club Passim in Boston, the Mint in LA, the Hotel Utah in San Francisco, Strings in Emeryville, and numerous festivals (High Sierra, NEMO, Campfire).

He recorded and produced his debut album, "Roam", which quickly gathered praise from magazines such as Performing Songwriter and Acoustic Live NYC, and websites such as Indie-music.com and Indiemonkey.com. "Roam" was chosen as one of the Top 12 Independent Albums of 2001 by Performing Songwriter magazine.

In 2001, Greg was also a winner in the UNISIONG International Songwriting Contest, the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, the USA Songwriting Competition, and the Telluride Troubadour Contest.

"Coney Island", Greg's second album, was released in late summer of 2002 with the help of 3 Grammy award-winners (co-producer, mixing engineer, mastering engineer). It has already started collecting rave reviews and award nominations...

He tours nationally with his band, solo, or with his brother as the Tannen Brothers.
