Bethlehem
Featuring Dee Carstensen

Three hundred sixty four days go by
Why can’t I even think of this place
And Bethlehem you’re so hard to find
For someone with such little faith
From where I stand
I’m just like any other man
Who needs an angel’s hand
to lead him back to Bethlehem
And if this couple had knocked on my door
Would I have given them my bed
Give them a warm place to stay for the night
While I sleep in the manger instead
I like to think that I would
Change this story if I could
Or would I just shut my door
on the miracle in Bethlehem
So please say a prayer
Cause it’s too much to bear
when you’re on your own
And this blessed boy
Could he ever have mercy on my soul,
on my soul
And if a shepherd came today
To tell me of the angel’s news
Would I embrace what he had to say
Or would I just refuse
Believe these words
Laugh and think it’s absurd
And say man you must be crazy
What you’re saying can’t be true
Or would I take a shepherd’s hand
And have him lead me back to Bethlehem
